Full description
An unusual free form shape hollow form copper pendant necklace
Made completely from scratch, an inner and outer copper frame was soldered to copper sheet on both sides then trimmed, filed and sanded to reveal the modern funky shape of the pendant
The structure has a chunky 3D appearance despite being completely hollow giving the pendant a solid look that is light and easy to wear
The front of the pendant has a leaf vein texture whilst the back and sides are plain
There are three holes in the inner frame which add a decorative touch and were also essential during construction to avoid the piece exploding during soldering
Two fine silver dots are soldered to the front to add a pretty contrast and the pendant is suspended from a sterling silver chain
Oxidized to give the copper a warm earthy look and highlight the mixed metals
Measurements:
Pendant: just over 1 inch across/28mm
Length of pendant including bail (top to bottom): just under 1 inch/27mm
Depth: 5mm
