I find ‘fashion’ on the high street to be depressingly similar – even the ‘new’ designs are staggeringly akin to those from the last season. I decided to create a range of ladies jackets and coats, in the hope I could create something a little more unusual, and to a higher quality. Some of the jackets in this range draw on historical styles, whilst others are purely the product of my imagination.

Additional terms
This item is listed as seconds, due to issues in it's construction. Please read the listing thoroughly, as I cannot accept returns for items listed as seconds. Please be aware that all my items are hand made - this means that no two items will be the same, and there are always going to be differences in stitch, cut and general make quality. Some items I sell have been hand dyed, or contain hand dyed components; if this is the case the description will state this clearly. I have spent a long time experimenting with different dyes and techniques in order to achieve the most vibrant, long-lasting and colourfast results, but please do be aware that all hand dyed items will lose some colour and/or vibrancy over time. This is usually a gradual process and it is extremely unlikely that you will find your item loses a large amount of colour quickly, but it is normal to see some colour seepage during washing and some fading over time. Some items I sell are made from (or feature) vintage or reclaimed materials or parts. With all vintage/reclaimed materials, there is always the chance of marks or wear being present. Please be assured I check my materials very thoroughly and all are clean and in good condition, however there may be some fabrics that have faded over time, or show some signs of wear, or feature very small marks or runs in the fabric that I have been unable to remove or cut around. Vintage buttons and other parts can show some wear or slight scratches. I use vintage or reclaimed materials when I feel they add character to an item, or lend themselves particularly well to a design, and because I feel that it is a small thing I can do to reduce the impact my work has on the environment. If the item has any visible or noteworthy marks from the use of vintage materials, I will always note this in the description and show it in the photos. I take the utmost care when making my items and when photographing them so that you can clearly see what you are getting. If you have any concerns, or feel your item is not as seen in the photos, please do get in touch and I will do my best to resolve the issue. I cannot however, accept any responsibility for the care you use in washing and wearing your item. All items come with a comprehensive guide on how to care for your item - please do read this since it will help you to keep your item at it's best. I cannot accept returns for an item that has been damaged by inappropriate use or care. I also cannot accept returns on the basis of the above, pre-advised issues, if applicable to your item.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
This is a hand made, fitted ladies jacket. The style is a feminine take on the classic tailcoat, so it has a shaped hem, the back of the jacket longer than the front, and featuring a split in the tail. The outer fabric is a synthetic brocade in a subtle green, with woven floral pattern. The jacket is fully lined with soft green cotton, and the lapels and cuffs are a green cotton mix fabric. There are 3 gold coloured metal buttons at the front to fasten, no pockets. This jacket is listed as seconds; due to issues during it's construction. The outer fabric is hand dyed, but the process has affected the weave - the fabric is still sturdy but the fibres in the weave have shifted, giving those areas a 'striped' effect. The process has also softened the fabric, making the seams look 'wobbly'! Due to these issues, there are some alterations, including tucks to remove excess fabric. This is a very wearable and striking garment, but not up to the usual standard I set for my items, so is offered as seconds, at reduced price. The jacket is made to fit a size 12 to 14, but see actual measurements (below) to determine if the size is suitable. Please actually take your own measurements for comparison purposes; do not go by the size you would usually buy on the high street.
Actual garment measurements: Bust 38 inches, Waist 32 inches, Back Length (measured from shoulder to hem) 35 inches, Front Length 22 inches, Sleeve Length (measured from top of shoulder to cuff) 28 inches.
