Full description
This big doorstop has been handmade in Norfolk from a hefty piece of hardwood washed up along the beautiful Norfolk coast.
The wood may have originally been part of the aging sea defences built during the 1950’s which stretch for miles along many parts of the North Norfolk coastline. This piece looks like it has been battered by the sea for years before breaking loose and being washed up further along the coast.
This piece has been cut, cleaned, lightly sanded to retain the character from years of exposure to the elements.Light blue coloured stripes has been hand painted around the doorstop and a clear wax has been applied to bring out the grain and protect the wood. The handle is made from an old boat mooring cleat. There is a black felt base to protect any surfaces this is placed on and a copper hand stamped Reclaimed Time label.
This would look beautiful in your home or make a truly unique gift for someone special.
Please note this is a heavy piece of wood hence the high postage price.
