Full description
Keeping it simple is the inspiration behind these; an elegant teardrop shape which hangs nicely on a cord, a lovely feel in the hand and the simple shape which allows easy cleaning and shows off the grain of the wood nicely.
There is a two stepped hole running through, the upper one is 3 mm and the lower is 6 mm, meaning the knot at the bottom of the cord not visible.
Finish is a water based acrylic, which provides a silky smooth touch and a tasteful satin sheen.
Applying water based finishes results in grain raising, this roughened grain is then cut back & re-polished when the article is dry, and the process repeated until grain raising no longer occurs. This ensures that the item is resistant to environments where steam and water vapour may be present. It also means that the product can be lightly cleaned with a damp cloth & mild detergent.
