This is my favourite technique and I can spend many hours bashing away at pewter metal. The technique was used a lot during the Art Nouveau period and there are many examples available from that period. Many examples of the Glasgow Girls work can be seen in Kelvingrove Art Galleries if you ever get the chance to visit. Well worth it!

Full description
A lovely pewter repousse dandelion design picture in an art nouveau style. This is a very elegant wall decoration which would look good in both in a modern sophisticated style of decor or in the arts and crafts style traditional setting. This picture has been handcrafted by myself using the repousse technique which involves working the metal from both sides until the desired design is reached. The metal is then blackened and highly polished to highlight the design. The piece is then mounted and framed in a black wood frame which measures 26cm by 48cm.
Designed by Judith Godden in Troon, scotland
