A DISSIMULATION OF BIRDS
Pinback button badge upcycled from a used postage stamp - every badge entirely unique! Each badge is a little piece of postal history, having travelled through the mail systems of the world, and bearing fragments of postmark as testament to its journey.

The picture above shows a small selection of the badges I have made from stamps received so far for Project Dissimulation (see below). The badge you receive may or may not be one of those shown, but it will definitely feature a bird and be made from a genuine used postage stamp.

You will receive 1 badge only, approx. 1 diameter, mounted on small presentation card. Badge has sharp metal components so is not suitable/safe for young children.

PROJECT DISSIMULATION
I designed Project Dissimulation as a distraction when my dad was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer, but I hope it will allow me to help in some small way, too. Any profits from the sale of these badges will be donated to a bowel cancer research/awareness charity.

The badges are a companion to a new series of mini zines created for Project Dissimulation (see separate listings). They have been made by me using postage stamps donated from around the world.

When I found out my dad had bowel cancer, I wanted to do something to help. This project brings together my love of mail art, postage stamps, zines and linguistics with my dad's love of wildlife and birds. Hopefully the result is something that will enable me to donate something worthwhile to a cause which is suddenly important to me.
