I love vintage style crochet and like to find ways of wearing it in everyday life. I wear a lot of hair accessories myself and also make them for my daughter. I have experimented with many different types of hair slides, clips, grips etc and this is one of my favourite styles.
The lilac / mauve colour reminds me that Spring is nearly here ...

Full description
I crocheted a traditional Irish Rose from a high quality cotton thread. The thread is a really pretty dusky lilac, mauve colour and has a delicate sheen that is typical of best quality mercerised crochet cotton. I added an unusual semiprecious Dalmatian Jasper stone bead to the centre, as I love how the two materials look together.
Finally, I crocheted the rose very firmly to a high quality silver-plated hair slide / grip.
I chose a thin thread, to give the rose a delicate, intricate look, and crocheted it firmly to make sure that it holds its shape well.
The rose measures 5cm (2 inches) across.
This item will be wrapped in recycled, acid and bleed free tissue paper and a reusable gift box ( also made from recycled card).
I send all items by Royal Mail First Class. I am able to send items by Recorded or Special Delivery at an additional cost by request. Please contact me if you would like this option (subject to Royal Mail conditions)
