Full description

A while ago a friend gave me this beautiful (but very small) piece of fabric, which is from the 1950s, I think. It shows images of little children having fun at a fair. She had cut the fabric from a homemade gym bag which she had bought from a jumble sale in a church on Handen Road, London SE12. Understandably, the fabric is a little soiled – but I love to find stains, and wonder what stories they hide.

I used the fabric and some used food packaging to make this card, and a few others.

It is absolutely unique, you will not find another the same.

It measures 9.6cms x 9.6cms when folded, and is left blank inside for your own message.

It comes with a sewn upcycled envelope, and stickers for sealing.

All of my work is numbered, this is 99.

You can find out much more about the making of this card on my blog, alisonsye.com.

If you have any questions, give me a shout,

Alison
