Full description
A pretty, felted and embroidered cornfield with poppies decorates this pincushion.
Sky blue wool fibers have been felted to a background of kunin felt (produced from recycled plastic bottles). A wide variety of yarn snippets, carefully collected from other yarn projects, together with tiny felt leaves, have been added to represent the cornfield. Stitching in fine cotton has been added to the sky to 'stabilise' the felting. The pincushion is edged in blanket stitch using threads to match the areas of the design.
Simple embroidery stitches have been used to embroider poppies and daisies.
The back of the pincushion is cream kunin felt. The pincushion is gently stuffed with polyester filling.
