Full description
These chunky little hens are part of a collection of hens I have been making. They are hand formed from a solid ball of clay and scratched and marked with tools on the surface. I have taken inspiration from my own garden hens and these little ladies would make the perfect gift for hen keepers and collectors.
The Mother hen measures approximately 4cm and her chicks measures 3cm they all sit level on a flat surface.
Coloured with a palette of soft gold, copper, turquoise and brown tones. I have used a mixture of oxides,stains and glazes onto the ceramic surface.
I make these hens individually in small batches so three hens pictured in the photograph are the ones you will receive with this order.
