applique and embroidered hoop – little bird with heart for valentine’s day. and all of the other days.
based on an original drawing by Little Black Heart, this design is entirely made by me on a domestic sewing machine.
it features a little bird, carrying a red heart in its mouth. the bird is in a beautiful liberty print fabric, with a bright red heart on its chest. wing and tail feather detail is in apple green cotton, and the tiny leaves decorating the branch above its head are in coordinating cottons and linens.
the fabrics are layered onto pre-washed calico, before i draw detail onto them with free machine (free motion) embroidery.
everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring each hoop is unique, well made and securely constructed.
this hoop is 14cm (5”) in diameter, and the reverse side is neatly lined with red cotton.
i aim to post items out within 24 hours of payment, via first class mail. any excess postage will be refunded via paypal.
