Full description

A one-off contemporary piece of Textiles artwork, created from silk scraps, threads and fibres. The heart base is created by free-machine embroidery onto vanishing muslin, a fabric that dissolves hence only the stitching remains, holding the silk scraps together and enhancing their beautiful lustre. Shades of lilac, cerise, and turquoise have been randomly combined. To finish the heart is free-machine embroidered with silver metallic thread, and embellished with swirls of French knots in cerise and emerald green.

The product is backed with a cerise felt heart and a 4.5cm brooch pin, and mounted onto a 12.5 x 12.5cm white card, with white envelope and cellophane wallet.

Size: Approximately 10cm diameter, however, please note the unpredictable nature of free machining can alter size and shape slightly.

This product will appeal to customers who are concerned for the environment, due to the recycled nature of the silk scraps incorporated in the background.
