I wrote 'I love you' and swirled hearts absent mindedly in the rippled sand, as you and the children made a huge sand fort with multiple dams and moats, flags and shell windows. The tide rolled in slowly, dissolving the days labours accompanied by hysterical laughter and frantic digging.....retreat up the beach!!! Wrapping fingers round hot chocolate mugs as the air grows chillier and the water steals away with my message...'I love you too' you whisper...

Full description
This is a hand painted individual jug with sea scape rolling round the whole jug, the paint strokes can be felt through glaze and the flags whip up and over the lip of the jug. I paint using food safe underglaze colour and fire to earthenware temperature using lead free glaze.
This jug is a 1 litre jug - ideal for water or juice on the table - or for flowers! 16.5 cm or 6.5" high, the message in the sand is ' If you dream of sand dunes and salty air' with a heart struck through with an arrow.. The smaller jug in these photos is 1/2 litre ...
Each piece has a care tag tied with string and comes with an artist bio. I wrap in white tissue and package in recycled bubble collected for me by my wonderful wombling parents and send out in recycled boxes where I can. I use first class recorded delivery and am happy to combine postage on items.
