A unique handmade pendant featuring 3 white Freshwater pearls, approx. 6x8mm each.

The pendant itself is an antique bronze coloured wire nest of approx. 2cm diameter with a matching 18 inch chain featuring a lobster clasp.

This white/bronze colour combination is my most popular, as it hs a lovely vintage feel and mimics the colours of a real birds nest. Similar pieces in silver-plated wire and different coloured pearls give a lovely contemporary twist.

A lovely Valentine's or Mother's Day gift, these pendants can be made with any number of Pearls to represent children or family members, loved ones and lost ones.

I love the idea of protection and fragility that the nest of eggs symbolises. Some customers have told me that they want them to represent their children, so they can be a very symbolic and important piece of jewellery...

I love it when I know about the person I am creating the piece for, and what they want from the piece. It makes a much more fulfilling process and a better piece of jewellery at the end.

I started making Birds Nest pendants as a bit of an antidote to all the structured, neat wirework pieces I was creating at the time. They are freer in form, and every piece ends up different, even when the raw materials are the same.
