The smell of cut grass during the warm summer month, the first growth in Spring, exotic images of Hawaiian dances and Tiki themed cocktails. Blades of grass, perhaps not the normals subject matter for jewellery, but the imagery it invokes deserves to be celebrated, and so I decided to pay homage to the humble but powerful blade of grass with a unique, quirky but elegant necklace.

Full description
Five blade of fresh green grass complete with dew drops, hung from a silver beaded bar on a silver plated snake chain.
To create the variation of colour very thin layers of alternating coloured clay was stacked, before being sliced and formed. The surface of each blade has been slightly textured with tiny ridges to imitate real grass. All of the metal work used in this piece is silver plated and lead free.
The grass length (including the bar) is approximately 5.5cm, and across the width of the bar just under 4.5cm. The snake chain has a drop of 21cm.
