About Crooked Craft Lane

Crooked Craft Lane

hot metal hammer and tongs

The smell of hot metal reminds me of my Dad, he often came home smelling of the molten metal from the foundry, to me it evokes a sense of love and the feeling of home. In the 1990's I attended Carmarthen college of technology and Art I had my first experience of working with metal on a smaller scale, and knew this was something I wanted to pursue.

I work with sheet metal and wire using traditional goldsmithing techniques which I have been both taught and self taught. My inspiration comes from flora and fauna, myth and antiquity. Being someone that has a million ideas happening in their head at one time I also find myself embracing a variety of craft from willow weaving, sculpting, drawing and painting, I often have numerous projects on the go at any one time, some may make it into my shop, some I create simply for the love of creating.

I also enjoy bespoke projects, so if you like my work but would like something meaningful to you, please contact me and I will endeavour to make your imagined item a reality.
