Turquoise Beaded Necklace
This two tiered necklace is really eye catching, especially with its gorgeous turquoise colour. This necklace is made up of two strands of flexible, lightweight stringing wire threaded with beads, and joined to a single piece of delicate silver plated chain for fastening. I used two different types of beads to create this necklace. The larger coin shaped beads are made from magnesite which has been dyed to achieve the stunning colour. Because of the dark brown inclusions in this semi precious stone the beads have a beautiful crackled pattern on them which works well in this dramatic necklace, especially against the solid colour of the smaller round beads. The necklace fastens with a silver plated lobster clasp.
Necklace length approx 18 inches
Magnesite beads approx 1 cm
I would be happy to lengthen or shorten the necklace for you if needed.
For a really dramatic look this necklace would look great with the turquoise and silver chandelier beaded earrings.
