I like to borrow patterns from other materials to apply detail, and in this particular case I use paper doilies to apply brown slip reminscent of lace.

This dark terracotta bowl has had a brown and blue textured pattern applied to the outside wall. It was hand made on the wheel, and I have applied a matt clear/white glaze which enriches the colour of the clay and the pattern. Perfect for keeping treasures in, or simply display on a feature wall.
It measures 14cm wide and 9cm tall.
This bowl is food safe / dishwasher proof as well as being decorative.
