I was so glad when I spotted this yarn in one of my local haberdashery shops. The pink is just so darn pretty. It reminds me a little of confectionary - things like macaroons and dainty little cakes.
As I can’t make those using yarn ( yet! ) I thought it would look just as lovely made up into my signature flower corsages.
And any excuse to use one of collection of pretty vintage buttons is always a plus.

A crochet flower brooch handmade to a pattern of my own design using yarn by
Twilleys of Stamford, from the Freedom Gorgeous range, a mix of 70% bamboo and 30% nylon.
The corsage is a lovely sugar/almond pink consisting of 3 layers, finished at the centre with a vintage pale pink opalescent button.
It measures approximately 2.25 in / 6 cm at its widest point and is finished on the back with a 1 and 1/4 inch silver toned safety rolling catch bar pin - please note the brooch back was electroplated with a composite nickle-silver alloy.
The bamboo constituent part is a natural, sustainable and renewable resource which produces super soft yarn that feels almost like silk.
