The design for this case came from the ubiquitous envelope, but I wasn't conscious of that when it came out. Subliminal suggestion I guess! Lots of people liked this design I first showed it, which surprised me because it's less ornate than most of my pieces. I think it’s the simplicity and balance that make it attractive. I like mixing leathers to see the effect. This design is perfect for allowing the leathers to show their own beauty through contrast with each other.

Pinegrove promises to adhere to the standard Folksy returns policy: If you are not 100% satisfied with your case then return it within 14 days in its original packaging for a full refund including the return postage costs or a replacement. Otherwise we expect it to last a long long time! Faulty items should be returned within six months of payment being made, but please note that leather is an organic material and has the naturally occurring marks of any genuine animal skin: this is part of its natural beauty. Where hair-on cowhide is part of the design, we have carefully chosen the pattern that will appear on every piece, and provide customers with options in terms of the balance of brown, white etc.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
This leather envelope-style pouch is for the basic Kindle (4th (2011) & 5th (2012) generations), and the Kobo Touch. The case features two high quality leathers neatly stitched with cream thread. Fastening is provided by a silicone cord that loops round a hand made leather button.
Of the two leathers, one is smooth with a marbled appearance, whilst the other is textured with a more severe distressed effect. They blend together well, and are enhanced by the cowhide flap reinforcer which can be fitted with red-tan leather or hair-on cowhide (see pictures). Note that the hair-on cowhide makes every piece unique!
