After repurposing some larger Victorian novels I came across a set of Beatrix Potter books and realised the tiny volumes would make lovely clocks for smaller spaces. The tales also have a timeless appeal to all age groups.

This little clock is made by repurposing a clothbound edition of the book Benjamin Bunny by Beatrix Potter.
The book measures approximately 11cm x 14.5cm. It is designed to be hung on a wall but can also be stood on a shelf or table using the stand supplied with it. The clock movement is a quartz sweep which is operated using a standard AA 1.5V battery (sorry this is not supplied as Royal Mail prohibit batteries to be posted outside their packaging and I cannot find a packaged single AA battery). The sweep movement is quieter than traditional ticking options so this is perfect for a nursery environment or for those who don't like to hear a ticking clock.
The clock and stand are supplied packaged in a box making it suitable to give as a gift.
This is an upcycled item so the book will not be in pristine condition. Signs of wear to the covers are an indication of the journey the book has been on with previous owners.
