Ideas are buzzing around my head lots of the time and one day this robin flew in. In another life I amassed a hoard of vintage fabric and stuff by going to auctions and it took but a moment to translate my robins into tweed. It took somewhat longer to make them of course, but I love the doing just as much as the thinking.

Xmas wouldn't be Xmas without a sprinkling of robins and so I have made two Robin decorations with cards this year and this is the pink edition.
This chirpy little robin is made from pink vintage tweed fabric with scraps of other vintage fabric for the wings, breast and beak and he is also nicely padded. It is all hand sewn with hand embroidered details and natural cotton string legs. He is the same on both sides and can be removed from the card and used as a Xmas decoration, (or perhaps all the year round).
The robin is tied to the card with brown linen thread and has a printed banner mounted underneath that says 'When The Tweed Tweed Robin.., this continues Goes Bob Bob Bobbing Along inside the card. Under this hangs a hand painted card robin tag, the reverse left blank for your message.
There are 5 pink robins available, all individually crafted. The size of the card is A6 and the robin is approximately 10cms high including the legs.
The card comes in a protective clear plastic bag and the envelope that accompanies it is a liitle larger to accomodate the 3d nature of the card. It will be posted to you in a padded envelope by first class recorded delivery.
