This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a specific type of motorhome, campervan. A 1987 E reg Talbot Express Autohomes Camelot , which I have designed by tracing a photo of the real thing.
It is a classic shape of high top side door campervan and is made of white streaky glass with the windows in a mix of clear, textured glass. I've painted the patterned line which goes down the side and added little beads to the front as headlights.
It is all soldered together, well polished and ready to hang in the window.
The wheels are shiny black glass nuggets.
This motorhome suncatcher is hung from a chain which is securely attached to a little ring soldered into the top of the motorhome. Please though do not try driving with it hanging in the window as it is glass and therefore a little delicate.
This is 13cm wide and 8cm high.
This would make a beautiful and unique present for anyone but especially of course for someone with a motorhome. It looks really lovely hanging in a window of the house, as well as in a motorhome, where it shines and catches the light all year round.
The first 4 photos are of this motorhome, the first I've made to this pattern. The 5th is of the litttle classic motorhome I also make.
Everything I make is unique, I always use dffferent combinations of glass colour and texture to ensure this.
