I like the contrast between the shiny glazed area of the beaker and the natural state of fired clay - the smooth unglazed surface is food safe as it has been fired to a high temperature. Terracotta is normally fired to a lower temperature but I like this rich, dark brown colour. This beaker is one in a range of part glazed pieces - please see my shop for more!

Small, dark brown coloured beaker, hand made on the wheel with terracotta clay. I have applied a clear glaze to the inside and top of the cup - the glaze enriches the colour of the clay and also brings out a white speckle. You could use the beaker for hot or cold drinks, for food, or on display.
It measures 7cm wide and 8cm tall.
This beaker is food safe / dishwasher proof as well as being decorative.
