I like the contrast between the shiny glazed area of the beaker and the natural state of fired clay - the smooth unglazed surface is very tactile, and is food safe as it has been fired to a high temperature. This beaker is one in a range of part glazed pieces - please see my shop for more!

Small, buff coloured beaker, hand made on the wheel with stoneware clay. I have applied a clear glaze to the inside and top of the cup - the glaze highlights the lovely speckle in the clay. Where there is no glaze, the clay is smooth to touch. You could use the beaker for hot or cold drinks, for food, or on display.
It measures 7cm wide and 8cm tall.
This beaker is food safe / dishwasher proof as well as being decorative.
