My Granny bought some tiny felt mice for my Mum when she was little, from Cumbria whilst on holiday in the '50's. She supplemented the mouse family by making more. My Mum made some for me when I was little, and I took up making mice too. I have seen similar ones in a dolls' house at Wallington Hall in Northumberland.

Full description
This small scented felt mouse is made from grey felt with a white tummy. Her eyes are black glass beads, her tail is black vintage button hole twist and her tiny whiskers are black thread. Her body is filled with a mix of lavender and rose petals which makes her extra special!
She wears a dark blue and white checked ribbon skirt, which is stiffened with fine wire. She has a cheery red felt sleeveless jacket and is carrying a bunch of flowers made from felt and beads.
She measures around 6.5cm high (about 2.5 inches). This is a larger size than my usual mice!
She is all hand sewn, and the felt is wool mix.
Not really suitable for small children, due to tiny parts.
Based on a pattern my Granny used to make mice for my Mum when she was a child.
Perfect for inhabiting a dolls' house, or for keeping in a drawer to make things smell nice! Or maybe as a stocking filler - that time of year is approaching again!
