Full description
A delightful little hand built sculpture made from stoneware clay and fired in my kiln.
I have made a little round hen who sits inside the henhouse on top of a bed of wood strips. I have used my own Light Sussex hen as inspiration for this piece as this is how she sits in our hen coop at home, all tucked away amongst the straw and peeping out of the hen house opening.
I have painted the house with a palette of blue, red and brown glazes and the little hen has been coated with a mottled white glaze.
