Full description
I have created this shoulder bag from a piece of handwoven fabric that I made on my rigid heddle loom.
The woven fabric is constructed from a warp of 4 ply 100% wool in black, and the weft is a 78% mohair, 13% wool and 9% nylon blend in multicolours. This has been stitched into a bag measuring 10" wide and 12" deep with a flap of 5". The flap is finished with plaited and beaded tassels of 4.5", giving a total flap size of 9.5".
The bag has been lined with a 100% cotton green and black print fabric, and has an interior pocket.
The strap of the bag is made from a twisted 100% wool cord, measuring 50", so the bag can be worn either across the body or on the shoulder. The ends of the cord strap have been finished with a plaited and beaded trim.
