Full description
The fabric I have used for the cover of this note book is from the vintage art store range of designs. The fabric is 100% cotton and has been designed by Susan Gower of Nifty Thrifty Dry Goods, printed by Lecien and made in Japan.
I hand stitched the nine signatures together using red hemp twine. The fabric has been glued to the grey boards. I also glued the two end papers to the board. The spine has been left exposed because I think it is a nice feature to this handmade note book. There is a hand stitched vintage mauve button and an ivory satin ribbon which is used as a closure around the note book. I have also added some guipure lace trim to the front of the note book.
There are irregularities with this handmade note book i.e. the cutting and folding of the paper is not perfectly flush.
This note book would make an ideal gift and/or stocking filler! It is unique and also a very useful and practical notebook.
Measurements: Note book is A6 size, 11cm (4.5ins) x 15cm (6ins) approximately. 100gsm plain white paper, 90 pages
