This birdy bride and groom are a perfect pair! The beautiful bride is made from antique white cotton tablecloth which features lovely whitework embroidery which I have incorporated into the design of the little bird. Her breast is made from white wool felt. Her delicate wings have a base of the wool felt and are topped with glamorous white lace appliques. The bride also wears an elegant lace veil edged in handcut felt flowers in a stunning sky blue shade. Each flower has a tiny clear seedbead centre.
The dashing groom bird is made from pale grey linen with a matching pale grey eco-felt breast. His wings have a base of the grey felt and a top layer of the dove grey linen with decorative visible stitching for added detail. He wears a stylish tophat and tie in the same sky blue shade of felt as those of his bride's flowers.
Both birds are plumped with polyster toy filling and made to securely free-stand on re-purposed copper wire legs. Each bird has black bead eyes centred on little circles of white felt and beaks that are cut from light tan eco-felt.
Post is first class.
Eco felt is felt made entirely from post-consumer plastic bottles. and has a wonderful structure and texture that I love to work with!
