Full description
This tattybag is upcycled from a pair of my daughter's outgrown trousers.... the outer is made from the top section of the trousers whilst the lining is a lovely piece of rescued fabric featuring printed outline daisies on a white background. A discreet magnetic fastener adds to security inside the bag.
I managed to save the trousers' embroidered and sequinned embellishment in the design of the bag and there's a slight glittery effect in the corduroy fabric so it's quite glitzy on the quiet!.
I added a 'belt' made by french knitting (or "corking") at the last minute, adding to the spontaneous feel of the thing and giving it a youthful, retro look.
The handle is made from a trouser leg and the pockets are made into useful features on the front and back.
It's a bag ideal for someone youthful and quirky and stylish all at the same time!
