This wonderful creation incorporates features found in the famous children's book ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle. The centre panel depicting the butterfly and caterpillar are hand quilted and have been extended using patchwork techniques with ‘Junk Food’ and ‘Fruit’ fabric. The food is also hand quilted and all the joins ditch stitched to create a stunning piece of work. Bordered with the multicoloured dots that surround the centre panel, the backing uses the same fabric. The fabric is 100% cotton using 2oz manmade wadding, which is the recommended weight if used as a quilt.
