All of the jewellery pieces in this Folksy shop are handmade by myself in a lovely, shed studio in my back garden.
The handmade jewellery I make is inspired by nature, the coastline of my home Island of Mersea, meaningful words and the joy of simplicity.
Handmade in recycled sterling silver, recycled gold, sterling silver, copper, 14ct gold filled, and occasionally brass. Semi-precious stones, precious stones and beads are also featured in my work.

I liked the idea of piece of jewellery that was not flat but a form that you look into, much like a cave where you can discover something inside. With my fine silver forms I use precious metal clay which allows me use the material in the same way as clay which is wonderful for creating organic forms, ideal for this piece.

This unique piece features a hand formed fine silver hollow "cave" that hase been oxidised to emphasize the outer texture as well as creating the illusion of depth within the "cave". Inside there are 4 fresh water pearls to give an extra element of interest. The chain and clasp are sterling silver and finished off with another fresh water pearl at the back attached to an 1.5cm extender chain.
Necklace length (including extender length): 46.5cm approx
The "cavern" dimensions: 1.6cm x 1.4cm approx
Please note that as oxidization can only be applied to the surface so be aware that the oxidized surface will eventually fade in time.
This necklace comes with a gift box.
