These mats were made as a commission. They are designed to fit onto the covers on top of an aga. The neutral colour scheme was chosen to tone with the kitchen.
I haven't used insul-bright before but it is known as the best wadding to use for items which need a good level of insulation. I didn't find it easy to work with and am sworn off making aga covers again for some time to come! Starch and basting spray helped to keep the layers together and did beat the insul-bright into some form of submission!
