Full description
A signed and editioned original four-colour screen print showing the Tattercock flying over the Butterscotch & Beesting Moon, who has her face painted like a clown to let the world know the circus is in town. The Tattercock was created when a tiger, a caterpillar and a peacock were magically mixed together by resident monkey and mischief-maker at the Butterscotch & Beesting Circus, Solomon the Simian. (Solomon has a habit of stealing the magician's wand and running around the circus muddling up the animals with magic.)
Everything on the print was hand drawn by me, and then adapted by me to work as a screen-print. Each print has been printed by hand using four different silk screens. The colours are deliberately offset to emphasise the handmade nature of the print, and each print will vary slightly due to the process.
This run is an edition of 50, and each print measures 16cm square, hand printed on 20cm square paper with a 2cm border on every side to help with mounting and framing. Your print will be packaged in a cello bag and sent between sheets of cardboard in a reinforced envelope.
