I had a commission to make 2 trivets for 50th birthday presents.

Full description
A 3-legged metal trivet, made from recycled steel horse shoes, welded together into a number 50.
Would make an ideal 50th birthday present for someone who likes the outdoors, or for your 50 year old dad for Father's day! Or a 50th Golden anniversary present..
Trivets are primarily for cooking on a camp fire, to put your pot/saucepan/kettle on.
But they can equally be used ornamentally in the garden, eg: as a plant pot stand, or used inside next to the fire, as a stand, or to hold fire tools etc
I also make them in:

A standard 3 leaf clover design
A lucky 4 leaf clover
And a 5 petalled flower design.

The trivets measure about 1 foot high, and 1 foot across, at the widest point. With legs splaying out up to 14 inches wide.
They are sturdy, and strong. (Can be used to sit and stand on too!)
All trivets are painted with a matt black heat resistant stove paint.
This one will be made to order, so please allow 2-3 weeks making time, on top of shipping time.
Please note, every trivet is slightly different due to the range in size and shape of horse shoes.
Please indicate if you'd prefer smaller, or larger horse shoes.
Due to the awkward shape, and weight of this item, it is only available to UK buyers, sorry!
