I learnt about the old fashioned craft of granulation and have enjoyed playing with the technique to create various pieces of jewellery including this blackened version of the cluster necklace.

Full description
This is a black version of my silver Bubble Necklace. Making the pendant has been a great way to use up the scraps of silver that most jewellers have floating around. These have been heated until they formed balsl and then soldered together to make a roughly circular shape.
The completed necklace has been painted with a blackening solution. The chain has been left black whilst the pendant has been buffed so that with the top layers of the balls the silver color shows through and the lower layer of balls has a gunmetal grey colouring. This is a really flattering colour and looks great on most skin tones.
Diameter of the pendant is around 3.5 cms at its widest point. The total length of necklace is 28 cms.
