I stumbled on an evening beginners jewellery making class as I wanted to try something creative. I can't say that I instantly fell in love with jewellery making as initially I wasn't very good and would over solder rings or not finish them off very neatly. Gradually though I started to take my time and began to find my own style and now I adore making jewellery and while away the hours, thinking up and working on new pieces.
It gives me great pleasure to have something that I picture in my head become an object that hopefully someone else will also appreciate and enjoy wearing. I predominantly work using recycled silver and occasionally gold. I also really like adding enamel to both silver and copper and seeing what amazing colour combinations can be achieved.

An exquisite design - the quartz really is the jewell of the piece, with a maze of intricate patterns. Shirley is a gift to her profession and has created and designed a beautiful necklace, I adore it than you.
