I am inspired by everything natural and organic – especially close up surfaces such as tree bark, rocks, and plants. Whilst concealed amongst these natural surroundings in the landscape, I feel relaxed and at home. I find it amazing to see the changes in rocks and coves caused by weathering and erosion from the sea, bumpy and colourful linear patterns found within fields and hills, and the surfaces in nature where no two marks are ever the same – it is this particular aspect that my ceramics connects to.

Full description
Handmade ceramic panel approx 21cm x 17cm, made from a stoneware clay. The organic design was engraved into the surface by hand. Pretty and colourful speckles of glass have melted in areas on the ceramic surface which add to the decorative element of this piece. The glass speckles shine and shimmer in light. This panel comes with a clear acrylic display stand for it to be displayed standing up. It would make a stunning feature in any room or even on a window sill.
