Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a brand new design which I have made in the form of a ‘framed’ picture.
The ¾ inch ‘frame’ is made of gently waved clear glass which has a lovely movement in the light. Inside this is a ‘picture’ containing 9 hearts – 1 bright red & shiny in the centre, then 4 blue and 4 purple hearts round it with different textures and shades to give the picture life. I am really pleased with this new design. It looks super hanging in the window where the colours of the hearts change according to the direction and strength of the light shining on them.
The suncatcher hangs from a silvery chain which is securely attached to the corners at the top. It is 5 ½ inches square.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. (I have now also made some smaller version of this, a column of just 3 hearts which you can find here on Folksy).
This will make a wonderful present especially for Mother's Day but also at any time for someone you love.
I have included 2 photos of this ‘9 of Hearts’ square The 3rd photo is of the one I have just made to order in Rainbow colours. If you prefer different colours then please just ask.
