I was inspired by the colour of the butterfly and how it looked dramatic against the grimy grey of the old pocket watch face. I imagined the butterfly had stopped to rest for a few seconds on it's way back home at twilight.

Full description
A quite dramatic and haunting necklace which will appeal to the lovers of Victorian Gothic. I started with the beautiful antique brass filigree disc and then added an antique pocket watch face which has many years of grime adding to the vintage appeal of this piece. Then came the delicate filigree butterfly which was taking it's last flight of the day and just happened to land for a few seconds to rest. I have also added two tiny vintage wrist watch hands in black to show the time that this event took place. The pendant measures 2" in diameter and is hung from a lovely figaro chain with an Art Nouveau style toggle fastening. The chain is 21" long.
