Full description
I found this rather battered and bruised, but collectable, medal in a junk shop. It commemorates the reign of Queen Victoria on her 50th Jubilee in 1887. I have attached it to an early British Army cap badge which is a collector's item in itself. This is hand stitched to a lovely olive green and gold ribbon and then I have stitched on a brooch back with a safety catch.
True Steampunks will realise the importance of this medal as it commemorates the reign of their Steampunk Queen, Victoria who reigned over the country at a time of great change and innovation with courage and stoicism.
The jubilee medal is 1 1/4 across and the whole medal is 2 3/4 long and 3 1/2 at it's widest point.
