As you may have noticed from our shop, we love antiques and vintage colours, patterns, fashion and design, so we try to incorporate them as much as we can in our creations. We like to look through antique markets and auctions mainly for little gems of the past, in this way also re-using and recycling materials. This stool was discovered in a run-down state and we have chosen to not only renovate it but to also update it in the hope of giving it another lease of life. As a result, we have turned a once dark and neglected old piece of furniture into a very eye-catching item that will bring a bright vintage touch to your home.

Full description

This is a beautiful vintage stool that has been lovingly renovated. The solid pine turned legs and frame have been painted in a bright yellow colour and sanded back in parts to give it a distressed shabby chic look. The frame has also been polished using several coats of traditional shellac. The upholstered drop-in seat cover has also been replaced using an original vintage cotton fabric dating back to the 1970s. This has a blue background and features a floral medallion in a combination of white, yellow and navy blue. The woodwork has been updated by being painted yellow and sanded back in parts to give a distressed shabby chic look and to highlight the shape and mouldings of the chair.

It is a beautiful, good quality vintage stool renovated and updated to the highest standards and it would look beautiful as a feature in any part of the home.
