I love hearts! Perhaps a little too much! I have used my 'Hearty Range' design to make a whole range of useful and practical kitchen ware. Some people have just one item from the range, while others have been buying a whole array. I also try to have a wide price range so that no-one feels priced out.
I am a firm campaigner for British, hand crafted goods, and I always try to source gifts and things for my home from fellow crafters.

Full description
These lovely coasters were made in my studio in Bristol, and are part of my 'Hearty Range'. They would make a perfect ‘his and hers’ wedding or anniversary gift, and would look lovely on bedside cabinets, or on the coffee table.
They are made using clay cut-outs of hearts of 2 sizes, these are then laid in a circle outline. I then smooth the underside of each coaster using more clay, to create this unique and lovely looking design. The coasters were then fired to 980'C.
The main glaze is a stoneware glaze called 'marcasite', I covered each coaster in this glaze and then 'washed back' the tops, leaving the natural white-ish colour of the clay showing. Finally I hand painted three hearts in a gorgeous pink glaze on one coaster and used a bright blue glaze on the other. The coasters were then fired again, this time to 1220'C.
Size- the coaster is 9cm across
The back has been covered in black felt to protect any delicate surfaces
