Over the years the Machin definitive stamp has been issued in a rainbow of colours, and YOU WILL RECEIVE A SINGLE PIN-BACK BADGE, randomly selected by me, which may or may not be one of the exact badges shown above.

Each pin-back badge measures approx. 1” diameter, and has been upcycled from a genuine, salvaged piece of British ephemera (stamped envelopes that have travelled through the postal system). Each badge will also feature a fragment of postmark, which may be 'killer bars', date circle or a random message stamp from the post office.

Each badge will be mounted on a matching presentation card, hand-stamped with the TangleMail postmark. The reverse side bears an image of a previously-made selection of Machin stamp badges.

FREE MINI NOTECARD
In addition to a mounted badge, you will receive a separate, matching mini notecard with blank reverse (fountain pen-friendly!). Cards are professionally printed on 325gsm uncoated, non-laminated FSC card with a wonderfully smooth, matte finish.

The stamps shown on the badges above were designed by Arnold Machin in the 1960s, and his design has become something of an icon. I decided to make this series of badges to commemorate Machin's definitive postage stamp design & preserve some fragments of postal history.
