Full description
Fabric textile picture, hand stitched using applique and handmade felt, of Portmeirion Village in North Wales.
Appliqued shapes echo the designs and colours seen in the buildings at Portmeirion. Some of the shapes have been painted with acrylic paint and some are silk . They have then been applied with hand stitching to a handmade felt background. More stitching on the background echos the designs. The buildings are many colours including turquoise, peach, pink and lemon. The textile has been mounted on a painted textured canvas.
The work measures 22 x 22 cm (9 x 9 inch) and is mounted on a canvas measuring 30 x 30 x 3 cm (12 x 12 x 1 inch).
This item has been designed and stitched by me and made in a non-smoking and pet free home.
