I like the idea of using natural pieces in my jewellery and had always thought that star anise was such an interesting and beautiful shaped spice. l love the intricate detail that you get from casting, which is really shown off in this pendant which has a raw beauty to it.

Full description
I made this beautiful silver star necklace by casting the seed pod of the star anise spice. The intricate details of the star anise are accentuated by burnishing some areas so they are shiny and leaving other parts to have a whitened appearance.
This is a lovely piece of jewellery that would dress up that little black dress or equally look cool dressed down with jeans and a t-shirt.
The silver star anise pendant hangs from a silver chain and is fastened with a silver lobster catch.
Length of necklace: 27 cms/10 3/4 inches
Diameter of pendant: 2.5 cms/ 1 inches
