Full description

This etched copper pendant has a flying crow against a patterned sky. A heat coloured copper pendant that has a vintage style art nouveau inspired design which has been etched by myself using environmentally friendly processes and heat treated to create a vibrant multicoloured patina: this will deepen over time.

About heat colouring copper: A high temperature oxygen and propane torch is used at different temperatures to create different colours. I have developed a technique of literally 'painting' with a flame to manipulate the shape and direction of the colours. Although there is a degree of control, each piece is unique, as the colour patina cannot be replicated exactly. suspended on a 16 brass chain.
