My jewellery is a fusion of generations of artistic ambition, drawing inspiration from the Arts and Crafts movement, the elegant geometry of Art Deco (inherited from my Great Aunt, a painter in the 20s), the flowing organic forms of Art Nouveau (championed by my Great, Great aunt, a Victorian-era jewellery buyer), the vibrant textures of my ceramicist Aunt's work, and the free spirit of my hippy boho mother. Working from my West Yorkshire studio (with my three cats and rescue dog as faithful 'assistants'), I hand-forge nature-inspired cuffs and lockets in silver, gold, and color-changing metals. My process began with the printmaking technique of etching, which allowed me to leave permanent, tactile marks on metal—a perfect foundation for creating pieces that are both wearable art and kinetic heirlooms.
