I love hearts! Perhaps a little too much! I have used my 'Hearty Range' design to make a whole range of useful and practical kitchen ware. Some people have just one item from the range, while others have been buying a whole array. I also try to have a wide price range so that no-one feels priced out.
I am a firm campaigner for British, hand crafted goods, and I always try to source gifts and things for my home from fellow crafters! Quirky, handmade things all the way!!

Full description
This lovely bowl was made in my studio in Devon, and is part of my 'Hearty Range'. It even has a heart base ring! A perfect gift for yourself or a loved one!
They are made using clay cut-outs of hearts of 2 sizes, these are then laid in a plaster mould. I then smooth the inside of each bowl using more clay, to create this unique and lovely looking design. The bowl was then fired to 980C.
The main glaze is a stoneware glaze called 'marcasite', I covered each bowl in this glaze and then 'washed back' the outside, leaving the natural white-ish colour of the clay showing. Finally I glazed various hearts in yellow. The bowl was then fired again, this time to 1220C.
All my ceramics are micro-wave, dishwasher and oven proof.
Size- it is approx.7cm tall, and top of the bowl is 13.5cm across.
This shop item is for an individual heart bowl. However there is a set of 4 available in my shop.
It is the perfect size for a breakfast bowl, or party nibbles, though it would also look lovely in the bedroom or bathroom used for loose change or jewellery.
